A few summers back when I visited Japan, I noticed that most of the cars on the streets looked more modern than I remembered and saw an unfamiliar logo walking around Tokyo. Most of the cars I saw that looked like a Lexus was called the “Crown“. The crown was produced before the Lexus and was a concept for the Lexus.

Apparently, in Japan, the Crown is a popular Toyota choice over Lexus. Maybe in the near future, the Toyota Crown will become a popular choice in the United States. Since the production of the 1995 Toyota Crown, it has been exactly 25 years meaning the car is a legal motor vehicle to import in the United States. As I can say from seeing these cars first hand in Japan, the evolution of the Crown has much improved to a more modern look and would be a close competitor in the car industry of the United States.
